Maura Higgins says she expected to last only three days in the Love Island villa.
The Longford woman entered the villa in the second week of this years series, and became an instant star of the show.
She reached the final, finishing in fourth place with her partner Curtis Pritchard.
Speaking to TodayFM, Maura says it's been a whirlwind experience since she left the villa.
"It's just been insane, to be honest when I came out I was expecting a lot of hate because I am so opinionated and very blunt at times. But the night of the final we were told a bit of gossip - Amy Schumer putting up a video supporting me- I nearly fell off the chair! I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe the response I got."
