It's reported the body of a woman exhumed 20 years after her death in Dublin was buried without her vital organs.

42 year old Maragaret Seery was found dead in a flat in Rathmines in 1994.

No foul play was suspected at the time, but fresh information which emerged recently prompted gardai to exhume her body to determine how exactly she died.

According to the Irish Independent, a post mortem has revealed the Limerick woman was buried without her major organs, despite no record of them being donated.

The paper says it's a major set-back for the investigation, and a second inquiry has now been launched to find out what happened to the body parts.
