The FAI says it's more than happy with the way John Delaney is running the Association.
The Football Association of Ireland President Tony Fitzgerald issued a statement last night.
In it, he said “"following recent coverage of the cyber bullying of his partner Emma and the fact that John has publicly apologised if he offended anyone for singing the nationalist song in question, we are happy to bring the matter to a close".
The statement, posted on the FAI website, said John Delaney has done an enormous amount for Irish football.
It refers in particular to the winning of the Euro 2020 bid for Dublin.
In conclusion, Tony Fitzgerald said John Delaney is fully deserving of his contract extenstion to 2020.
