The number of slips, trips and falls at Irish train stations has risen majorly due to people being distracted by their phones.
According to Irish Rail's safety report, the number of incidents jumped from 202 in 2015 to 261 last year, with a third of those happening while people were getting on and off trains while using their phones.
The report says Iarnroid Eireann is one of the safest railways in Dublin, but third party incidents have risen due to the popularity in smart phones and devices.
