The President of Bolivia has offered his condolences to the family of the late Michael Dwyer tonight.
Mr Dwyer was 24 years old when he was shot and killed by Bolivian security forces in 2009 in Santa Cruz.
The Bolivian government claimed the Tipperary man had been part of an assassination squad conspiring to murder President Morales- a claim that has always been disputed by the Dwyer family.
President Morales is on a two day state visit to Ireland and tonight's meeting between his officials and the Dwyer family has been facilitated by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
