Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a fatal crash in Cork that claimed the life of a man in his 20s.

The two car collision happened on the R618 Cork to Ballincollig Road near Leemont Cross just before 9 o'clock last night

One man - a passenger in one of the cars - was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other men in their 20s were seriously injured while two women were injured but not seriously.

Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
