There are fears for the future of hundreds of jobs in Nenagh, County Tipperary.
Staff at cosmetics manufacturer Coty have been called to a meeting at 12 noon today - with concerns that production will cease over the next 18 months and the jobs moved to the UK.
In 2015 the plant took over the Proctor and Gamble facility - which had been in operation in Nenagh since 1978.
The deal which was worth almost 12 billion euro saw Coty acquire such brands as Hugo Boss, Gucci and Max Factor.
Local councillors were told at a meeting last night to "expect the worst".
