The government parties have voted against each other for the first time, as the crisis deepens on Irish Water.
Labour senators voted in favour of holding a referendum to stop Irish Water from ever being sold - only a day after Enda Kenny ruled out the prospect of any such vote.
The Taoiseach also says Joan Burton was "speaking in a personal capacity" when she said families with four adults would pay under €200 a year.
But this lunchtime the Tanaiste has reasserted the figure - albeit while saying that Fine Gael and Labour are "on the same page".
Joan Burton's deputy leader Alan Kelly has again said details of a new water charges package will be announced "next week" - while the Taoiseach is still saying it may be a fortnight before the deal is signed off.
And he also says he accepts the Seanad's vote - and will honour "his duty" to bring it to cabinet for consideration.
Our political correspondent Gavan Reilly filed this report for Today FM's National Lunchtime News:
Minister Alan Kelly is standing by Joan Burton's assertion that the charge for a family of four; two adults and their two adult children would be €200.
