Fine Gael TDs and Senators may have their phones confiscated this evening for the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party meeting.

Enda Kenny's expected to address the issue of his leadership - but some TDs are furious that the proceedings are being leaked to the media as they happen.

It follows the leaking at the weekend of an internal party WhatsApp group.

The request was submitted by Dublin Rathdown TD Josepha Madigan calling for a ban on mobile devices at the meeting.

It'll be ruled on at the start of the meeting - but it's not clear if it'll pass.
