A second Fine Gael minister has said the party remains committed to the idea of water charges.
The comments from Simon Harris, who is also one of Fine Gael's coalition negotiators, come as FG prepares to release an updated policy document after its talks with independent TDs.
The document's set to be considered by Fine Gael TDs this evening, ahead of the Dáil's return tomorrow.
The new document will NOT outline any policy on water - but Simon Harris says Fine Gael's position is clear.
His comments follow those of the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Charlie Flanagan, who this morning said the country 'would not be best served' by the abolition of either water charges or Irish Water.
But this morning Fianna Fail's Barry Cowen - one of the coalition negotiators on his party's side - said his party was preparing legislation to scrap the utility and suspend billing:
