Fianna Fail is claiming that the property tax will not deliver any improvement in local authority services.

It was announced today that councils will receive the same level of funding next year under the scheme - as was alloacted in the Local Government Fund this year.

It was also confirmed that money from councils with a higher tax take - will be used to subsidise areas where the funds generated by the property tax are low.
