Fights have broken out at shops already - with two people arrested in the UK - as Black Friday gets underway.
Up to 74 million euro is expected to be spent by Irish shoppers over the Black Friday weekend.
The tradition started in US, where people hit the shops the day after Thanksgiving with big price cuts.
