A fire at a derelict building in Dublin's city centre has been extinguished.

The fire broke out at 12.50pm at a derelict building off Aungier Street.

Emergency services, including four units of Dublin Fire Brigade, attended the scene at Glover Court flats on York Street.

It's believed the fire was caused by a collection of burning materials that had been gathered ahead of Halloween.

No body was injured.

Part of York Street from Aungier Street was closed to traffic for a time.
