Vigils are being held this evening to mark the first anniversary of Savita Halappanavar's death.
The 31 year old died a year ago in Galway University Hospital from septicaemia.
This evening's memorial vigils will be held at the top of Grafton Street in Dublin, Eyre Square in Galway and at the Opera House in Cork from 6pm until 7.
