Food Fraud in the EU is on the rise with 156 cases reported in 2016 compared to 60 in 2014.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has joined forces with international agencies to tackle food crime and protect consumers.
One of the most famous cases of food fraud was the horse meat scandal in 2013.
Over 300 national and international experts have gathered in Dublin for a conference on tackling food crime and protecting consumers.
