A former basketball coach who abused 10 teenage boys has been jailed for 14 years and two months.
65-year-old Bill Kenneally, formerly of Summerville Avenue Waterford city, admitted to the crimes on dates between 1984 and 1987.
Judge Eugene O'Kelly warned that he had systematically groomed and then exploited the teens for his own sexual gratification.
The Gardai investigation was launched after 45-year-old Jason Clancy contacted Gardai in 2012, after reading about Jimmy Savile's victims in the UK.
Nine others then came forward.
Jason says he's just relieved its all over
He said the process took some time but he is happy Kenneally will serve a lengthy sentence.
