A former Labour Senator - who claims he was evicted from his office in Leinster House, after voting against the Labour Party on a number of legislative matters - says he's in talks with others about setting up an independent political party.
James Heffernan, who plans on running as an Independent candidate in his native Limerick in the next general election, has been relocated to another office next to former Labour junior minister for health Roisin Shorthall.
Deputy Shorthall resigned the Labour Party whip in 2012 over what she described as a "lack of government support" for health reform.
