Four men have been held by Gardai overnight in connection with a foiled robbery in Co Cork.
It's understood that a number of armed men attempted to break into the home of the businessman in his 50s in Glounthaune in East Cork at around 11 o' clock last night but gardai were alerted.
Two men in their 30s and 40s - both from the southside of the city and well known to gardai - were detained near the house - they're being held at Cobh Garda Station.
A short time later another two men were arrested and are being held at Midleton Garda Station.
Officers are continuing to search for another suspect while an incident room has been set up in Cobh Garda Station to assist Gardai in their investigations.
