Aer Lingus and Ryanair have cancelled a number of flights today due to industrial action by French air traffic controllers.

Ryanair has cancelled dozens of flights to, from and over France.

And, five Aer Lingus flights departing from Dublin and five inward flights have been cancelled.

Both companies are offering customers free alternative flight transfers or refunds if their flights have been affected.

Passengers who have bookings to travel today are asked to check the status of their flight before departing for the airport.
