Gardaí are renewing their appeals for information following a serious assault in Dublin.

On Saturday night at about 11.30, a man in his 30's suffered serious injuries in an attack on Dame Lane.

Gardaí would like to speak to a number of people who stopped and helped the man following the incident.

A man in his 20's has been arrested in connection with the investigation.
