The funeral of Munster rugby legend Anthony Foley will take place later in his home town of Killaloe.

The 42 year old Munster coach died in France last weekend, of heart failure.

The mass will take place at 12 noon at St Flannan's Church, with burial afterwards at Relig Núa Cemetery.

Mourners are asked to arrive early for the funeral, and a traffic management plan is in place in Killaloe.

Radio stations across the country will play The Fields of Athenry at noon this afternoon, in tribute.
