A 30 year old Galway man has been killed in a crash in Australia.

It happened lat Sunday when Ger Scully's car collided with a three carriage road train near South Hedland in Western Australia.

Ger, from Annaghdown, emigrated to Australia about five years ago and had been working in the mines.

Locals say he was due to finish up this weekend to travel to Vietnam, before coming home to Galway for Christmas.
