Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for the public's help in tracing the whereabouts of a missing Canadian man.

61-year-old John Philip Ellis was last seen at approximately 2pm just off the main street in Swords on Monday.

He is from Canada and was staying at a house at Hillton Way on holidays.

He is described as heavyset, approximately 5ft 9' inches in height with white hair and glasses.

When last seen he was wearing a red top.

Gardaí are concerned for John and are asking anyone with any information to contact Swords Garda Station on 01 6664700.
