Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in contact with Dubliner Kenneth O'Brien in the hours before his murder, to come forward.

The 33 year old from Clondalkin was found dead in a County Kildare canal last Saturday.

Gardai want to talk to anyone who was in touch with Mr O'Brien in person, or by phone or text between Friday and Saturday morning.

They've also renewed an appeal to people who were near the Grand Canal at Ardclough during that period.
