Gardai are investigating a serious collision in Co Mayo.
It happened on the Castlebar to Claremorris Road, the N60 at around 5pm.
An 18 year old female pedestrian was hit by a car and is in a serious condition in Mayo General Hospital.
The 83 year old driver of the car and a young male passenger were taken to hospital as a precaution, but no injuries were reported.
Gardai are appealing for anywitnesses to contact them in Castlebar.
