Gardaí in Co. Kerry are examining CCTV footage and awaiting the results of forensics tests in their investigation into an alleged rape at the Bons Secour Hospital in Tralee.
A 61-year-old woman has alleged she was raped by a doctor following a scan at the hospital earlier this month.
The doctor was employed on a temporary basis.
Kerry's Chief Superintendent Con Cadogan could not confirm reports that the doctor has since left the country.
