The head of An Garda Siochana has said he will consider disciplinary action against any Garda whistleblower who shares internal information.

Martin Callinan has played down the extent of alleged corruption in the penalty points system.

It comes as a sitting Garda sergeant is invited to give evidence to the Public Accounts Committee about what he alleges is rampant abuse of the system.
