A motorcycle Garda has been injured during a high-speed chase of a stolen van in Cork.

More than 20 officers were involved after they spotted a stolen van they believed had been used in a burglary in the Glanmire area.

Gardai signalled for the driver to stop but it carried on - even driving on the wrong side of the road - before it was stopped by Gardai.

A motorcycle Garda was hit by the van, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

One man was arrested, while another ran from the scene.
