A murder investigation is underway after a man died following a hit-and-run in Dublin last night.

Gardaí are seeking the public's help in tracing the movements of two cars believed to be involved.

32 year old father of three Stephen Lynch died after the incident in Tallaght in Dublin.

It's believed there may have been a fight on the road at Brookview Close before he was killed.

Gardaí say Mr Lynch was not involved in criminality.

Superintendent Peter Duff, from Tallaght Garda Station, said they're looking for information in relation to two cars:

Gardaí say the cars were seen in the Tallaght and Crumlin area.

One is a silver Ford Focus hatchback with a 10-WW-1812 red, the second being a red, wine coloured Volkswagen Polo with reg 01-D-9539.
