Gardaí say normal service has now been restored to its IT systems, following a malware threat last week.

In a statement, the Gardaí said heightened security measures have been put in place, as a precaution.

They have confirmed that no data was compromised, and that Pulse and the Garda website were not affected.

The Garda Computer Crime Unit is continuing an investigation into the incident.
