The Garda Ombudsman Commission is investigating the death of man in Galway, after his body was taken from the River Corrib.
A major search operation was launched after the man was seen entering the water at OÂ’BrienÂ’s Bridge in the city.
He had been stopped at garda traffic checkpoint prior to the incident.
