Gardaí Expect More Arrests After Preventing Gangland Shhoting

Gardai say they expect more people to be arrested after they prevented a gangland shooting in Dublin last night.

Four men remain in custody this afternoon as part of the investigation into the Hutch/Kinahan feud.

It’s being described as one of the most significant operation of its type ever carried out in the State.

For several months gardai have been gathering intelligence and last night made their move on four men associated with the Kinahan cartel.

Two were picked up in Fairview in a van - where a loaded beretta pistol with a silencer were also found.

The men are described as so called hitman for hire.

At the same time in the south inner city gardai picked up two other men.

10 further searches were carried last night and 7 vehicles were seized.
