Gardaí in County Clare are treating as suspicious the death of a man in his 40s in Ennis.

His body was discovered in the Turnpike area at around 10am this morning.

The scene has been sealed off and the State Pathologist has been notified.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, in particular anyone who was in the area between 10pm last night and 10am this morning.
