Gardai in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run in Baldoyle last weekend.

A 26 year old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on the Strand Road just before 1am last Saturday July 9th. 

He was knocked to the ground and suffered serious leg injuries.

He's still being treated at Beaumont Hospital.

Gardai in Howth are appealing to anyone with any information about a black Volvo S.40 model with a 07 D registration.

This car travelled along Strand Road, Baldoyle onto Main Street turned left onto Moyne Road and again turned left into the Castlemoyne Estate.  

The car was abandoned there.   

The car's two front tyres had blown out and the car was being driven on rims at the time it was abandoned. 

The driver of the car failed to stop and the car was abandoned in the Castlemoyne Estate.

Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
