Gardai in Dublin are investigating a carjacking and robbery in Rathgar this afternoon.
A woman and her two children were waiting at traffic lights in Rathgar at around 3:40pm when a man got into the back of the car threatened and demanded money.
He instructed the woman to drive to her house and retrieve her bank cards - then demanded that she withdraw money from the ATM at the AIB Bank in Rathgar.
The man forced her to drive the car to Portobello where he fleed the scene.
The woman and the children were uninjured during the incident.
The suspect is described as being about 5'9" with shaved dark hair, stubble and of medium build, he was wearing a dark wax type jacket and dark scarf.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
