Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a 3-year-old girl died following a road crash in Co. Limerick.

The child was fatally injured when the car she was a passenger in collided with another car on the northbound carriageway of the M20 at Attyflynn near Patrickswell, at around 4.45pm yesterday.

Three other occupants in the car, along with three others from the second car, were taken to hospital for treatment on their injuries - which are not thought to be life threatening.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, to contact Roxoboro Road Station.
