Gardai are investigating an incident in which at least one shot was fired through the window of a house in County Meath.

It happened in the Arch Deaconary area of Kells at around 1 o'clock.

No one was injured in the shooting and up to two men are believed to have escaped on foot.

The scene has been sealed off and has been technically examined.

It's not known if the house was occupied at the time and gardai are appealing for witnesses.
