Socialist TD Paul Murphy has accused the Gardai of "political policing" after being released from Garda custody.
Deputy Murphy has been released after nearly nine hours of questioning over the alleged false imprisonment of Tanaiste Joan Burton in Jobstown last year.
A file is being prepared for the D.P.P.
ON his release Deputy Murphy said he has no regrets over his role in the Jobstown protest:
Two other men arrested in connection with the protest have now been released.
Protestors against water charges had gathered outside Terenure Garda Station, including Socialist Party member Kareem Muhssin

Deputy Murphy's colleagues have criticised his arrest describing it as 'Political Policing'. Socialist TD Ruth Coppinger has called his detention a 'disgraceful' waste of Garda resources.
