Gardai in Meath Appeal For Witnesses To Crash

Gardaí in Laytown are appealing for witnesses to a crash that left a teenage boy seriously injured.

The 13-year-old was struck by a car at the entrance to the Wellesly Manor Estate on the Eastham Road in Bettystown on Wednesday afternoon.

The driver was uninjured.

The boy was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda but was transferred to Beaumont Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Gardaí are now asking anyone who may have been in the area that afternoon to contact Laytown Garda Station
