A 26 year old woman has been released from Garda custody following a stabbing in Co Louth.
A man in his 30s was treated in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda after he was stabbed in the neck yesterday morning.
The incident happened at the Lia Bhrega estate in Drogheda at about 3am.
The woman is due to appear in court on January 9th.
In a separate case, a man remains in custody in Co Cavan in connection with the stabbing of a woman.
Gardai were called to a house in Kilnaleck on the afternoon of Christmas eve. There they found a woman in her 40s with serious wounds to her upper body.
A man in his late 50s was later arrested, in connection with the attack.
The woman was taken to Cavan General Hospital, where she's believed to be in a serious but stable condition.
