Gardaí are investigating the death of an 11-month-old baby boy in Co Kerry.

Emergency services were called to an apartment on Upper High Street, Killarney yesterday evening.

The baby received medical treatment at the scene, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

A man in his 30's is receiving medical treatment at University Hospital Kerry, Tralee.
