Gardai are appealing for anyone with information regarding a aggravated burglary in Dublin earlier this morning to come forward.
Two people-who were in the house at the time -were injured when an armed gang broke into a home on Knockmore Grove in Jobstown at around 7 o'clock.
A man, who is believed to be from the Philippines, is said to be in a critical condition in a hospital after being attacked during the incident.
Gardai say no arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
