Gardaí are renewing their appeal for information after a shooting in Dublin earlier this week.

A 36-year-old man was shot a number of times at Dun Emer Place in Lusk at around 9.35am on Tuesday.

He remains in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital.

Gardaí say they're following several hundred lines of inquiry.

They're appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

In particular they are looking to speak to anyone who knows anything about the movements of a white Volkswagen Golf.

It had a Northern Ireland registration number XFZ 9316.
