The online news site Gawker has filed for bankruptcy after losing a 140 million dollar court case.

The privacy lawsuit was brought by the wrestler Hulk Hogan when the website leaked his sex tape.

Gawker says it will appeal the ruling - already it's said to have received an offer of 90 million dollars for the digital media company.
