The PSNI will resume questioning Gerry Adams over the abduction and murder of Jean Mc Conville later this morning after he was arrested last night
Police have until this evening to decide whether to release Mr Adams, charge him or apply for more time to question him in connection with the 1972 killing of the mother of 10.
The 37-year-old was abducted in front of her children and killed by the IRA after being accused of spying for the British army, claims later proven to be false.
Her remains were finally discovered in 2003.
