The Sinn Féin Leader has called on the Taoiseach to withdraw John McNulty's name from the Seanad election.

Gerry Adams' call follows the Enda Kenny's admission that he was responsible for the controversy surrounding Mr McNulty's candidacy and his appointment to the Board of IMMA.

The Taoiseach says he takes full responsibility for the controversy surrounding the nomination of John McNulty for the Seanad.

Speaking in Roscommon this afternoon, Enda Kenny said what happened was of his own making.
