Police in France say a man who crashed his car into a pizza restaurant, killing an 8 year old girl and injuring several others, did so intentionally.

However, officers in the town of Sept-Sorts, to the east of Paris, say they do not have any evidence of a terrorist motive at this point. 

The 32 year old has been arrested and is being questioned by police. 

France has seen several recent terror attacks involving vehicles.

Last week, a man injured several soldiers when drove into a group of military personnel in Paris. 

Last year on Bastille Day, a man driving a truck killed 86 people when he ploughed into crowds on the promenade in Nice.
