Thousands are expected to take to the streets around the world today in a march to prevent climate change.

Demonstrations are taking place in Ireland, and cities around the globe ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris next week.

Marches in Dublin, Cork and Belfast are beginning at 2pm, while a demonstration in Eyre Square in Galway begins at 1pm.
