Gobbles the turkey has been saved from the Christmas chop, after escaping from his farm so many times that his owner took pity on him.

The turkey has launched a series of Chicken-run style escapes since October, including hiding in a tree, and jumping over fences.

Even Jake the sheepdog was used to try and round him up, and bring him back.

But now the farmer is keeping Gobbles as a pet, and he apparently didn't notice when the other 800 turkeys were taken away.
