Google has bowed to pressure to allow people the right to have web pages relating to their personal life removed from searches.
From today, users in Europe will be able fill out an online request form for personal details to be censored.
Google's chief executive Larry Page has criticised the move telling the Financial Times that the decision has strengthened the hand of repressive governments looking to restrict online communications.
